Copyediting

Copyediting focuses on the more technical side of writing and is done after a line edit. This includes looking at grammar, punctuation, style consistency, and fact-checking.

This can look like:

• checking for continuity: the same character is described with blue eyes in one scene and brown eyes in another, etc.

• punctuation, capitalization

• style consistency

Proofreading

$0.003 per word

This is a ‘last round’ of edits before publication. This assumes your manuscript has already been through developmental, line, and copy edits. 

This can look like: 

• lingering typos

• formatting 

• punctuation
